SuperbikesOne of the most talented young racers in any class of competition today, Jonathan Rea, born in Larne, Northern Ireland, started his two-wheeled education early, winning the British 60cc motocross championship in 1997.

He moved through motocross, road racing and Supersport before becoming the youngest ever rider to secure a British Superbike pole position in 2005.

In 2009 he moved up to World Superbike level with Ten Kate full-time, and in 2011 the exciting announcement was made that Castrol was reigniting its title sponsorship of the Castrol Honda World Superbike Team.

Whether on the race track or on the road, the Castrol name is synonymous with the most technically advanced lubricants available, and back in Northern Ireland, where Jonathan Rea started his world-class career; leading oil company Emo is the Authorised Distributor for Castrol lubricants.

Castrol signed goodiesEmo met with Jonathan at this year’s Isle of Man TT to chat about how important Castrol and his team are to ensure he reaches his potential in the World Superbike circuit. He also discussed his career so far and how important he feels it is to encourage up and coming talent back home in Northern Ireland.

    Jonathon a total legend like a terrier dog on the competition,the best is yet to come from him a joy to watch like Joey,Doohan and the Doctor!
